THE DANGERS OF COPYING SUCCESSFUL PEOPLE

This short video (3m20s) takes a look at people’s tendency to look for «magic formulas» to achieve success. For example, should you be waking up at 5 o’clock every day like Michelle Obama and Apple CEO Tim Cook (he actually wakes up at 3.45!)?  Is going to University in the 21st Century a waste of time? Bill Gates and Mark Zuckerberg dropped out after all.

This BBC video references some interesting life lessons and makes comparisons with «survivorship bias», which has a fascinating story dating back to the Second World War, and gives you the perfect chance to practise your critical thinking!
