This video explores the psychology behind why we often underestimate the time it takes to complete tasks (guilty!), using examples from our daily lives and even the construction of the Sydney Opera House. It looks at various ‘planning fallacies’ and, importantly, explains why we fall victim to these biases.
The video has a happy ending as it also offers tips on how to improve our time estimates so we can better plan our time and avoid the stress of last-minute panic!
